Alyssa has earned two degrees in chemistry, and enjoys a passion for all forms of science and technology, and applying patent law to them. Alyssa attended law school specifically to practice patent litigation. And she further developed that interest during her studies, serving as the Executive Editor of Jurimetrics, the American Bar Association’s Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. During law school, Alyssa also worked with the Lisa Foundation Patent Law Clinic, conducting patentability searches and drafting office action responses.

In her final semester, Alyssa served as a legal extern at Fisch Sigler, where she contributed to teams that achieved victories in district court and Patent Office proceedings.

Born and raised in Ohio, Alyssa is a frequent visitor to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where she began her deep appreciation for the genre. Alyssa considers Summer in the City by Quincy Jones and Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits as the art form’s two finest examples of Andalusian cadence.
