Benchmark Litigation’s annual analysis of litigation outcomes and peer reviews consistently places Fisch Sigler as one of the top intellectual property practices in the United States. The 2021 edition of Benchmark’s Definitive Guide to the Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys ranks us alongside firms including Cooley, Fenwick & West, and Finnegan Henderson. The same guide also once again named Alan Fisch a National Practice Area Star, the publication’s highest individual ranking. Benchmark has annually bestowed this recognition on Alan, with the 2012 guide identifying him as “an IP legend,” and also previously named Bill Sigler to its national “Under 40 Hot List.”

This makes it a dozen years in a row that Alan has achieved this ranking from Best Lawyers, which bases them on a rigorous peer review process capturing the opinions of leading IP lawyers about their colleagues’ professional abilities.

The most recent publication of the Expert Guide to the World’s Leading Litigation Lawyers and World’s Leading Patent Law Practitioners named both Alan and Bill as among the best in the patent field. Alan has been a staple of Expert Guides’ publications for over a decade, while the 2019 guide marked Bill’s debut. Alan has also appeared in their Best of the Best guides, featuring the top 100 lawyers in the United States regardless of legal specialty.

Patexia ranked Fisch Sigler Superstars as one of the top five, two of the top ten, three of the top 15, and four of the top 100 patent defense lawyers in the United States. Patexia analyzed 14,506 patent cases involving 1,964 law firms and 9,553 attorneys over a recent four-year period. And based on the results achieved by these attorneys, Patexia concluded in its 2022 Patent Litigation Intelligence Report that Alan Fisch and Bill Sigler were the #4 and #6 best performing patent defense litigators in the nation. Patexia’s Report also ranked Fisch Sigler partner Jeff Saltman at #12 and Fisch Sigler attorney Ken Fung at #90.

And back in 2021, Patexia analyzed 10,552 United States district court patent cases involving 9,131 unique patents, 11,786 defendants and plaintiffs, 2,841 law firms, and 12,780 attorneys over a recent three-year period. And based on the outcomes in those cases, Patexia concluded in its 2021 Patent Litigation Intelligence Report that Alan Fisch is one of the top 10 best performing patent litigators in the nation.
